Do I have Kidney Stones? Help!??

Question: one week ago on a wednesday, I felt weird feeling when peeing. not even close to burning. assuming this was a UTI, i drank a ton of cranbury juice (a huge bottle everyday with lots of water). friday morning i woke up with severe pain on the right side of my low back, a little higher than the low back, around the kidneys. about three days later, the pain switched to the other side, or kidney. The pain feels as if someone is pushing reeeally hard on that area..thats the best way to describe it, it isnt sharp. it also gets worse when i left my leg. i have a doctors appointment scheduled, but i was just curious.

to sum it up..no burning or blood when peeing, just pain in the kidney.

thank you!!
Answers: Kidney stones are one possibility, as well as kidney infection. You don't have to have burning or blood with a UTI, a lot of them are asymptomatic and if you've had it for a long time unknowingly it could very well have moved up into your kidney. Although with a kidney infection you'd likely have other symptoms along with the pain such as fever and chills.
Go to the Hospital.
now.
:)
I am no expert in this area. But i do not think that is kidney stones. Maybe urinary tract infection.I had Kidney stones but i never had any pain or discomfort while peeing. Better consult a doctor soon.
It may be a kidney infection. In that case, you need to see a doctor immediately. I would go to the emergency room. Not to alarm you, but better safe than sorry.
There is one quick way to determine if you have kidney stones.

When you get severe pain in your lower back in the kidney area drink 2, 3 or even 4 glasses of water and if the pain disappears within the next half hour or full hour then it is most likely kidney stones.

If the pain persists in spite of the large amount of water then most likely it is not kidney stones.

Kidney stones simply love water and harass you no end if they don't get it. If you give them what they want then in most cases they stop harassing you (temporarily).
