I just got braces on, and I have a question about when this agony will stop.??
Question: I've had braces on before, but they were only on the top row. When I got them on they only hurt for about a day. Now i got full mouth braces, and i've had them for 4 days no, and it still hurts like hell. When will the pain stop?
Answers: I have always had full mouth braces right from when i got them in and i know what you're going through. I found that the pain started to clear after about the first five days or week. if this dosen't happen for you i would suggest you go back and see your orthadontist.

How awful! I wore braces for 5 (!) years and it seemed to hurt me more than it hurt others... I found if I took a painkiller (like Aleve) right before I went to the orthodontist, it helped reduce the pain, especially if I continued to take the pills at regular intervals. Don't laugh, but... my mom used to put gin on a Q-Tip and rub it on my gums to numb them. Tasted awful, but it helped. Trust me, it'll all be worth it when you see your gorgeous straight teeth.
take advil for the pain and it will end soon. Give it a few more days. Beauty is pain lol!
At least you'll have a killer smile in a year or 2! :) *smile*
I had braces from 7th grade all the way till my junior year in high school. If you just got them on then it will probably hurt for 1-3 weeks then it will start to feel comfortable. But the next trip back you will be in the same pain for the same amount of time. But trust me it's worth it.
It will take a week or two for the pain to stop... sorry! Tylenol or Motrin can take the pain away.
Take Asvil or some otyer pain killing medication. Don't wat anything hard, that will irritate it. Eat soft foods. it will take up to about a wee(maybe a little more)
