Where are you supposed to look when the dentist/orthodontist is doing stuff to your teeth??
Question: like when they put their head really close to work on your teeth and its like right in front of your face where are you supposed to look? i'm not gonna look at their face cause thats just weird.
Answers: Whereever is comfortable for you.
Most dentists put posters on the ceiling for a focal point.
If yours doesn't, find a focal point on the ceiling to stare at during the procedure.
I close my eyes and try to relax. Sometimes I have gone to sleep.
LOL!! I know! I look at the ceiling.
at the blackhead above the left nostril.
Mine has a picture from Disney on the ceiling
over where he works. I look at that.
After awhile it gets REALLY boring. Then I close
my eyes.
his long nose hairs
I look in the light or either close my eyes :P
i dont know mayb look at the seeling or close ur eyes
Just close your eyes.
I close my eyes and try to relax and not think about what he is doing.
usually i just look to the side, cuz yeah i totally agree with you that looking right at them is really weird.
Close you eyes or look at the ceiling. But never look into their eyes
I don't look anywhere. I just close my eyes and take a short snooze.
into the light and enjoy the colors
Close your eyes thats what I do
I just sleep or starte off into nothing.
You can also just go off into that mind set where your just thinking and what your looking at doesn't even get your attention.
Most offices have glasses (like really ugly sunglasses) they provide so patients aren't blinded by the light. lol If your dentist doesn't have these, ask him/ her if you can wear your own...tell him that the light bothers your eyes. Good luck!
I look at the posters on the ceiling or close my eyes.
I hate looking in the face of the dentist while they are working in my mouth. Most dental offices have a TV for you to look at but I keep my eyes closed the whole time. But I do open my eyes from time to time briefly .
Close your eyes and go off into a dreamland. Try to forget what is going on. If that doesn't work for you, stare at their hair and wonder how that dentist styles his hair in the morning.
HELLO,
YOU'RE PAYING THE BILL, LOOK ANYWHERE YOU WANT. THE CLINICIAN WON'T MIND OR EVEN CARE. YOU CAN ALSO CLOSE YOUR EYES.
Hi, I used to wonder the same thing. Now that I am a dental assistant and have patients all the time I realize it really makes no difference. I wouldn't even notice if someone was staring right at me cause I'm busy. I know the Dentist is busy looking at your tooth so he could care less.
Still when I go to the dentist I just close my eyes. Or just stare off at the ceiling. Whatever your comfortable with.
I close my eyes and think of anything BUT what they are doing. In my own personal experiences I've found that if I wonder/think about what they are doing I get too paranoid and start thinking all different horrible things.
