Is it dam bloody holy pain when using local injection to the wisdom tooth .. ???
Question: when will u feel pain .. before or duringor after the whole operation ..??
Answers: When the needle goes in it hurts but after a while it will go numb. It's dosen't hurt so much it's more of the noises you will hear and the pressure they will use to extract the tooth from the gum.
If you have an abcess on the tooth then it will really hurt and no amount of anisthetic will relieve the pain.
It depends on the type of extraction. Most wisdom teeth are impacted, so yes, just using local (which no dentist worth squat would do) for a complex extraction would hurt badly.
It should be tolerable. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed when I was a young adult about 30 years ago. If you are worried, inquire about sedation! It is a common practice in dentistry now. Technology is a good thing in dentistry!
