Is it normal for it to hurt when biting down on teeth that have had deep scaling done to them? All dentist??
Question: said was rinse with salt water. I didn't feel anything before because I was numb from the novocaine, but now it hurts to eat-when will that stop, is that normal and do I need to do anything?
Answers: Yes, it's normal. If you think about it, you actually had a small incision about 10-12 inches in length made all along the side of your mouth where you had the scaling done. It will take 2-3 days for things to quiet down. Ibuprofen helps as well or better than anything.
