When should i take protien and how much??


Question: I recently got the protien supplement 100% Whey Protien. When should i take this before or after workout, and with water or milk? I am 6 2' and 224 pounds and i want to get big for rugby season. My body type is athletic but a little heavy
Answers: YOU SHOULD TAKE IT RIGHT AFTER YOUR WORKOUT, THAT'S WHEN YOUR MUSCLES ARE DEPLETED FROM PROTEIN, AND WHEN IT NEEDS IT THE MOST. WITH SOME FAST ACTING CARBOHYDRATE(HIGH GLYCEMIC). THE CARBOHYDRATE WILL MAKE THE PROTEIN GO TO YOUR BLOOD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH PROTEIN, YOU CAN HAVE A SHAKE BEFORE AND ONE AFTER YOUR WORKOUT TOO.
Drink one shake about 30 minutes before the workout and another within a hour after. Don't forget to eat a GOOD carb load within that hour as well. For your size protein intake could be as high as 300gms a day. If you go that high get at least 200 of those from natural food sources, their more natural, better quality and they last longer in the body.
