How come when you cut your wrist it doesn't stop bleeding??

Answers: I hope you didn't cut your wrist, if you did, put pressure on it and if it is bleeding badly call 911. an arterial bleed will squirt with your pulse, if so, put pressure, find your brachial artery(under your bicep muscle in upper arm) feel for pulse and put pressure on pulse to help stop the bleeding and call 911 before you go into shock and die of loss of blood. I hope your ok! good luck!
because you cut it
Are you saying that you cut your wrist? If you did, wrap it tight, call 911.
Because you have severed an artery and these don't stop bleeding on their own. Your heart simply pumps all the blood out of your body through the cut artery and you die. You stop then, of course.
It will stop eventually, assuming you don't have anything that prohibits blood from clotting, like anemia or you are taking asprin. It will take longer than other than other cuts because of the amount of blood flowing through your wrist. Apply pressure to your wrist, and if it doesn't stop bleeding within 15-20 minutes, get to a hospital immediately.
I do NOT find this question funny!

If you have thoughts of suicide I suggest you speak to someone (a professional) immediately.
It can stop. The problem is in cutting open many arteries, where blood pressure my be high so it is more dificult for the blood to coagulate, harden, and heal the injury.

With a little pressure applied, it stops like with other cuts.
possibly you cut the radial artery... just apply a direct pressure on it and wrap a bandage snugly around it.
Yes the cut will eventually stop bleeding, I once cut it real deep after i was angry and i didnt know what to do after there was blood everywhere so i just ran outside to the pool, i left it in there for a while and it eventually stopped.
this happens because there are major veins and arteries in the wrist that connect to the brachial artery in the arm. if you cut them they bleed alot because there is just alot of blood vessels in that area
I hope your not, but if your are please get help.

The reason you don't stop bleeding is their are veins in your wrist close to the top of your skin and that would mean you cut into your veins.
