When you are diagnoised with diabetes 2, can you ever return to normal again.??

Question: diabetes 2 been trying to get my sugar under control my numbers are high 200 to 300, been struggling for 2 yrs.with medication and diet changes. Now all the sudden my sugar is on the other end my sugar is on the very low side being 70 to 80. i have had to stop my medication be cause it was causing it to drop too low. Guess my question is can my system have returned to a more normal and stable reading. Is this possible? Should i continue cking my sugar, just to keep it in check? Let me know if you have had any like this happen to you and how did you handle it?
Answers: I guess it is difficult for someone who was diagnosed with diabetes to get back to normal again..It will take a lot of effort & discipline.

My Mom had diabetes, and was hospitalized 3yrs back due to mild stroke. She is now back to normal, Thanks GOD, as if nothing happens to her..my sister is monitoring thouroughly her diet and everything that she eats..plus a regular intake of the prescribed medicine.

So you must be strict on your diet and always have a check..I think everything will go back to normal if you follow the proper medications.. Good Luck!
Wish you the best!
keep checking your sugar . and maybe you're normal again .
ummm, rarely, my uncle just died from diabetes
It can return to 'normal' again. But (and this is a very big but) this requires a person to be VERY motivated and to have practically perrfect blood sugar not controlled by tablets (which essentially try to squeeze the insulin out of the islet cells).

Whatever you do, KEEP CHECKING THAT BM. The consequences of ur BM being sky high for years and u not knowing cos u didn't check it are not worth thinkng about.

The diet for type 2 diabetics is the same healthy diet that we are all meant to follow so go with that diet and keep on checking the sugar. If you seem well controlled on that good going, but never just assume.

Could ask ur GP to check C peptide levels but it might not be too much use in type 2.
my friends with diabetes use www.nutrihand.com

they tell me that their diabetes is doing great all because of www.nutrihand.com
