When a cut wont heal??

Question: I stepped on a piece of broken glass about a week and a half ago. We immediately got it out, but it still hasnt healed. Now, it keeps opening up and bleeding. What should I do to help it heal?
Answers: Being that the cut is on your foot the pressure from walking may keep reopening the wound. Do you feel that you might need stitches? You could try butterfly bandages if it's not to bad, they can help hold the wound together like stitches. Be sure to apply some Neosporin ointment so you don't get an infection and the ointment also speeds the healing process.
Have you tried neosporin? Cuts on the feet are very susceptible to being reopened because you bend your foot so much. As long as it is not deep and you don't need stitches, I would put neosporin and those butterfly band aids on it daily and try not to walk on it for a few days. Good Luck!!
I'm a nurse. You need to see your doctor. This could be diabetes. This is a very serious thing you speak of. See a doctor. There is more going on with your body than you think.
First does your foot feel hot in that area? Or is it red? If no then
I would pour some hydrogen peroxide in it a few times then dry the skin and put a drop of aloe in it and then close it up with a butterfly bandage while you are up and about but try to take some breaks often and remove the bandage and let it air out for at least 30 minutes with your foot elevated. then before standing on it again put another butterfly bandage on it. Any deep cut on the feet especially the bottom of your feet are sometimes hard to heal because of the weight and constant movement along with warm dark damp shoes where bacteria lurk. Do your best to not put pressure on that foot and dont wear a closed shoe. Keep it as dry as possible except for the aloe. If you dont notice any difference in the next couple of days I would go see a doctor.
