Sometimes when slightly dehydrated, I get a horrible sensation'down there', but goes away w/water- normal??

Question: I'll rephrase that-
Sometimes (maybe once every few months), after going to the toilet, I get a sensation 'down there'- kinda like tingling but not nice at all. It sorta reminds me of the sensation you get with a bladder infection... However, if I drink some water, within 5-10 minutes it goes away...

Anybody else experience this? Normal? Dehydration maybe?
Answers: Can't anyone say vagina anymore? How old are you that you have to refer to the vagina as down there? I am sure that you are describing a burning sensation, like one would feel upon urination when they have a urinary tract infection. The body needs water to flush out toxins thru the kidneys, if your urine is very concentrated, as it would be with dehydration, I imagine that it might burn a little upon urination. As long as you drink 6-8 8oz. glasses of water a day, you will be fine, and your kidneys will thank you.
I think you should visit the doc's. However, maybe you can drink cranberry juice. It happened to my friend before and I recommened cranberry juice and she was fine after that.
this reminds me of a bladder infection. DON'T hold in urine, whatever you do. No matter what, if you have to go, make a point to get to a bathroom. When we hold our urine, it gives bacteria the chance to travel up the urethra and toward our kidneys, not good! When we urinate, it flushes the bacteria away. Also, drink lots and lots of water all the time, and if time and budget permits, try to drink a glass of cranberry juice ( with at least 27% juice ) every day to help prevent bladder infections.

Also, most bladder infections clear up on their own if you make sure to drink PLENTY of water (think in terms of liters, not just a glass or two) so that you can flush out your urinary tract. Also, go to the bathroom every time you have the urge to. In a few days if it still is uncomfortable to urinate, see a doctor for antibiotics. Women are prone to these for some reason!
