Does actifade or scarguard gel works for african-american people??
Question: I have a couple of scars that I want to get rid of. Black people scar differently. Our scars are black marks, which I hate. I heard about actifade and scarguard. I heard they were excellent products. I look into it on the internet and I read testominals of the people that use it. But when I looked at the pictures of the brochure it was mostly white people. It had question and a answer to people that asked if it worked on ethnic skin. And the answer was yes. The question is what type of ethnic skin? Does it qualify for people of etnicities of dark or non-causian skin? I'm light skin but compared to white person I'm darker.
Answers: I am part African American and I had an C-Section scar and with black pigmented skin we tend to keloid (scar raises). Scarguard worked O.K. for me, the scar never went completly away. It made the scar flatter and lighter. So, I am a little more confidant. Also, look into Mederma .
