Head aches....??

Question: I have these really bad headaches on my right side of my head. Only my right side. I get them a few times a week. They're horrible, I feel a lot of pressure. I used to take Tylenol but it doesn't work. I've used pretty much everything to get rid of headaches but nothing works. It eventually goes away after a few painful hours. [Sleeping doesn't make it better]

It's not sinus or w/e it's called.

What can I do about this? What can it be? Should I visit a doctor?

[ps] I'm only 17! My parents say it's because I don't eat well, but lately I have.

Help?!?
Answers: Sounds like a migraine. And if that's the case, aspirin, Acetomenaphin (Tylenol), Advil or Ibuprofin won't help.

I used to have them. Started at age 18, finally got rid of them at age 21. I really think it was stress-related.

I'd definitely see a doctor. Best thing I ever did.

Migraines are horrible. If it's painful to even look at your computer screen, you have a migraine most likely. But you should see a doctor to rule other things out.

Good luck and Happy New Year.
It's worth seeing a doc about.
take a migrane pill
They could well be migraines especially since regular over the counter meds don't help them. See your doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
U may have low iron, get u some iron tablets and the headaches will go away.
Or put some camphor chapstick on the head where u hurt.
Could be migraines or the dreaded cluster headaches, i would see a Doctor could be something serious id get it checked out
It may be migraines or it may be something as serious as Occipital Neuralgia. My mom has it, and every once in a while she'll get really bad migraines for days in a row. If the pain persists, go and find a doctor, so that they can prescribe you pain medications.
have u ever tried going running when you have one? whenever i get headaches that are too bad to bear like that i always just go for a 15 or 20 min run and it ALWAYS gets them to go away...i don't know the chemistry behind it, but it works for me and it makes you feel better overall. hope that helps!
try aspirin instead of tylenol, try a cup of coffee-caffeine can help- do not take the aspirin if you are having your period
hey about a year ago i used to get really bad headaches 2!! my parents said the same thing... my headaches were usally in the front of my head but still... my problem was i needed glasses. i don't know if you wear glasses but if you don't you should get your eyes checked!
lovely, i think that you should go see a doctor and set your mind at ease as to what could be causing this pain for you. please go to the doctor and get it checked out. take good care of yourself.....always.
i think you should see a doctor that happens to me sometimes but i take tylenol and realx and it goes away so if its not working for you than go to a doctor.

hope you feel better
I'm not a doctor but I wold try taking a caffeine pill and drink lots of water. They may be caffeine headaches or just dehydration.
See a doctor if you're worried.
There's heaps of different types of head aches. Some reasons could be dehydration, your neck or back is out of whack,
tumor (don't fret about that tho), stress, even the medication you're taking could be doing something.
When I was 17 I had headaches, they were real bad but we worked out they were a combination of stress and nerves in my neck being pinched a bit. All gooders now after I saw the doc!
my hubby has the same prob his got worse you should see a neurologist it is not normal and to hurt like that you can get pain med. that really helps but you need to see the right person my nephew also has this prob and he is 16 please talk with your parents about it i was told by a nurse that any time a person has a bad headache that does not go away they should see a doc. to be safe
Well I used to get headaches but
then my doctor told me to go see some kind of other doctor, u should go to your local doctor or a rite-aid.
You should also drink like 4 glasses of water every three hours. All I usually did when I got headaches was sleep, but since sleep dosent help you might b out of luck. Well it might just be tention in your LEFT shoulder, be-cuz your body is like opposite.
.Since ur headeaches r getting worsed I cant advice u to take any medicine else u should find doctor that can help .
do u wear glass?? or what job do u do. if u are involved in computer related jobs then it might cause the problem. go to doctor not here doc are specialist not me!!
It's best you go and see a doctor. You might have some other health problem that triggers your headache. He's the one best to diagnose your headache.
