Answers: Its Herpes
Probably got it from her friends at school
or had it a long time ago and it just was dormant
I believe they make medicine for this Abreva
Carmex! Probably it can be transmitted to another person.
blistex
yes it sounds like a coldsore (herpes) and is highly contagious. They usually last from 1-2 weeks, and will form a painful scab after a few days.
You can get cream from any pharmacy that helps a lot.
Blistex
Yes, you can put Orajel on her. If it is a true cold sore it can be passed if she kisses someone else.
it will dull the pain, ask a pharmacist for advice
Make sure whatever you put on wont irritate broken skin.
Sounds like a cold sore.....Orajel is for your teeth.....use blistex
''Blistex'' in the small blue tin is about the best over the counter remedy.
Abreeva -- you can get that over the counter at any pharmacy-- it works. Cold sores can be transmitted to others so wash your hands after applying Abreeva.
seek medical help, thats the best way forward,
don't you think
Blistex is great for blisters or sores on the lips. It is possible that it is only a cold sore, I personally would not worry about it being transferred.
It sounds like a cold sore... Try getting some medicated blistex or carmex ointment. Cold sores can be contagious, so after you apply the ointment or chapstick wash your hands thoroughly! Do not kiss her and do not let her kiss you.
Dos she have a fever? Are there any signs inside her mouth of foreign growth? It is my opinion that you instead see a doctor immediately, and have a culture taken so as to see what it is, as it could be something worse that you guess.
If someone drinks out of her glass, yes. You can pass it on. Or kisses her on the lips. So I don't recommend that. No Oragel. Get Abreva. Tell her NOT to lick the medicine off or it won't help.
Zovirax Cold Sore Cream (aciclovir) - you can get it over the counter (in uk) and it works wonders.
It sounds as though your daughter has cold-sores which, if left untreated can become extremely painful, and spread.
Zovirax works so well that it appears to prevent multiple outbreaks and reduce the frequency of future outbreaks.
They are contagious - but not as easily contracted as many people think.
no orajel will not work
its a cold sore
yes this can be transmitted to someone else
use abreva for cold sore
Blisters need to be checked by the doc as this is not something that should just pop up over night. Take her to urgent care or ER and find out what these are so they can give you the proper diagnosis and treatment. Do not try to treat them yourself without knowing what they are.
