? about body piercing...??
Question: I got my belly button pierced last year (April 2006). I cleaned it with the H20 spray, and it seemed to be healing nicely. I changed it after about 2 1/2 months. It was fine for awhile, but then it started getting red and sore. I put the original ring back in about 2 months ago, and I have been cleaning it with Ebson Salt. It does not seem to be getting any better. Puss comes out of it sometimes, and it gets a little scab on the bottom hole every day. Any suggestions on what to clean it with or what I should do?
Answers: I have had many many piercings and the best thing to do is get some plain Ivory bar soap and use that daily when you shower. Make sure you clean it good and rinse it really well. Also make sure you dont wear pants that rub on it alot. Also if you get a glass of warm water with sea salt dissolved in it and tip it up on it and hold it there for about 3 minutes a couple times a week it should help.
Sea salt is better to clean with try that
I think that you should get rid of the body piercing because they are ugly and do no good for your body.
I had the same problem when I first got my belly button pierced. I would say try something to cure the infection ( i forgot wht I used) if nothing works, then take it off and wait a month or so and get it pirced again, just make sure they dont go over the scarred tissue. (I had mine pierced 3 different times). At the end I found out I was allergic to the fake jewelry they put on you belly, so I switched to a PRETTY gold cross :D
Good luck
don't listen to the man . belly rings are sexy. anyways its just your body healing i guess. my sister had the same problem and she just kept with the same thing you are doing and it went away with time. maybe you are touching your piercing too much or the shirt you are wearing has something to do with it (the fabric, or it keeps rubbing the piercing)
sterile water
