I had this thing happen to my eye where it's like I looked into a camera flash and still see it.??
Question: It starts off small like I seen a small flash then it circles around like a C and looks fuzzy like a snowy tv. And it just gets bigger and bigger till it takes up more of my vision then it gets so big it's like it just goes out of my eye sight and its gone. This has happened 2 times in about 4 months. No other symptoms with it. Just real annoying. Anyone know what this could be from?
Answers: OH MY HECK, that happens to me too. It sometimes makes me nauseous and interferes with me being able to see things. If i want to look at something while this is happening I can't look at it straight on or I won't be able to see it. I'm sorry I can't help you because I have no idea what it is, but its nice to know that I'm not the only one that experiences this.
I had a similiar experience, the flash of light, especially when turning my head and looking in a different direction, and also had a c shape dark line, or floaty , the light went away, the floaty is still there, this from about 4 mo. ago, went to a Opthamology clinic and he told me this is normal, and can happen at any age, but usually as we start to get a little older, the eyeball itself starts to detach a tiny bit from the back, and it is the reflection of this all of this and the fluid that we see, hence the partiall roundness of the eye or c shape, sometimes this goes away completely and sometimes we can keep it or part of it forever,it is basically our eye shrinking with age and pulling away a little from it's original interior attatchements, it is not normally harmful, does not involve bleeding, is more annoying than anything, scared the heck out me, thought I had had a stroke.
Flashes of light are sometimes associated with a torn retina see a dr
The following are some possibilities.....Posterior vitreous detachment, vitreoretinal tuft causing retinal traction, retinal traction of other origin, retinal break, retinal tear, retinal hole, vitreous changes. You need to see an optometrist for a dilated eye exam to determine what the cause of your sign is. This is not something to be taken lightly and if it is a retinal problem, the sooner you get in to see the doc, the better your chances are of preserving your vision.
