Condom "cuts off" erection??
Question: This is an embarrassing question.
But, my husband is quite well endowed...and whenever we are having sex during ovulation, we try to use a condom.
When he puts it on, his erection goes away almost immediately, and at the base of his penis, it looks like when you put a rubber band on your finger real tight.
We've even gone up to Trojan Magnums with no success...is it his girth or something psychological he doesn't realize is going on?
I tend to think it's his girth because of the mark it leaves...but I was curious as to what you guys have to say.
Anyone?
Answers: im a virgin, but 1 thing is to get a bigger condom.
EDIT: ooh, ok. then, you can talk to a doctor and they can make a SPECIFIC condom to fit his penis.
Maybe talk to a doctor because no one here seems to know anything relating to this topic. Maybe trying new connies. But I suggest seeing a doc.
His problem is psychological. Demonstrations have shown that a condom can be stretched and remain entact to the point of covering an entire adult human head. Unless your husband is that big - and I hope for your sake and his that he isn't, then it is unlikely the condom strangling him off.
Is it possible that you both practice a religion that looks on condom use negatively? Are there perjorative family attitudes towards condom use? Would he consider using a condom as a threat to his manhood?
If it is physical and he is as big as you claim, then perhaps there is a physical circulation problem. I'm big enough that I have had some condoms break over extended use, but don't recall losing an erection over using a condom. One thing that *could* happen, however, is blocking off of semen if the rubber part is tight enough to block off the vessel at the bottom of the penis. This can (unfortunately?) lead to problems with reaching completion (although I haven't had a trouble reaching orgasm, so it hasn't made my woman unhappy).
Condoms have also been accused of reducing levels of sensation, which I can also confirm, but not enough to eliminate erection.
In the final analysis though, if it is a physical problem, you should probably have it checked out by a doctor. Like I said, it could be an indicator of a blood flow issue. If your husband has cholesterol or fat problems, this could be an indicator of even more serious health problems.
Lifestyles also makes an XL sized condom. I can't remember exactly what they call it, but it shouldn't be hard to find. You may have to go to a condom store if the local pharmacy doesn't carry it. I know some of the big boys prefer it over Magnums.
It's a psychological thing if he loses his erection instantly when putting on the condom. It being tight is suppose to help hold the erection, like penis rings do.
it's in his mind...tightness would act like a cock ring and maintain erection
could be more psychological in nature. guys shouldn't lose erections, yu can even put a rubber band around it and the erection should still be there.
