Circumcise? help please??

Question: im 14 and i am not circumcised but i really want to be and i dont know why i feel embarrased to not be circumcised and i want to tell my parents that i want a circumcision but im embarrased???what to do?
Answers: If you really want it done, you'll have to tell them; there's no shortcuts.

However, you should research more into it. I'm 18, and at your age, like many, I was also slightly awkward of others seeing it, but then I noticed I wasn't the only one. In fact, most guys in the world are uncircumcised. You're part of the 'transition'. Back in the 70s and 60s over 90% of boys were circumcised, now it's as low as 14% in some states, especially in the West coast. So don't be ashamed, appreciate what you have. Being uncircumcised gives you advantages, too. You're more sensitive, have less of a need for lube, etc. In the link below there is some research and info on circumcision to help you out, since when it's done, there's no going back. You can read on all the risks. One medical study found that circumcision makes masturbation more difficult in 63% of times, and another found less sensitivity, and so on. But it's your choice. You're lucky to have a choice in what you get to keep or remove. If I were you, I'd keep what you have; you'll avoid the weeks of pain and month of no-masturbation. =) (and feel free to e-mail me from my profile if you have any questions)

just tell em. suck it up and be a man. an as of yet uncircumsized man but a man nonetheless!
Start out by just talking with your dad, he's a guy, he'll understand your interest in wanting this done. Do your research first, don't hit him with just a one liner such as, I think it looks better , or something like that. If you research all the pros and cons of having it done, it will demonstrate to your father that you are serious about this.
And DO make sure you are serious, for once it is done, theres no going back!
If your parents still refuse to let you have this done, you are going to have to wait until you are 18.
Presumably these are the same people who brought you into the world, changed your diapers and already know where all the birthmarks are. So what's to be embarassed about? Though in all honesty, I'd suggest you give the whole circumcision thing a real hard re-think. You were born with a foreskin for a reason. And circumcision isn't that pleasant a surgery for a young man your age. They will use an anesthetic, it's true- but you will wake up with stitches in a spot you never realized could hurt so bad. And it's going to hurt, make no mistake about that. You will get some pain medications, but it's not enough to make it all go away. And all operations carry a certain amount of risk with them. You could find yourself with scar tissue that will interfere with you in the future. You might not have enough skin left to have an erection in comfort. And the scarring can be enough to remove a great deal of sensation. Unless you have a serious medical reason and need it, I really don't suggest you do it. You were made with a foreskin for a reason. A circumcision done strictly for appearance sake falls into the same category as bobbing puppy tails and ears. Fashionable, not sensible. And the majority of the men in the world are not circumcised anyway, so you are not the oddball out here. If all this still hasn't convinced you, then all you are left with is the discussion with your parents. But if you can't get up enough gut to talk with them, how do you suppose you are going to handle going to the doctor? He's not just going to talk about it, he's going to want to SEE it, and TOUCH it. It's going to be bare in the operating theater, where lots of folks will see and touch it too. And after the surgery, there are the nurses who will help care for you. Most nurses are women, you know? If you can't talk about it, the rest of it is going to really be a strain. Rethink this, that's what you need to do.
I think it is a good idea. I was at birth and I really appreciate it.
First of all it is known to be cleaner. I don't have to worry about foul odors and washing. My wife likes it and that makes me happy also because she also is a very clean person.
Secondly it makes the sensitive part a little less sensitive and therefore control is much easier. Women hate when you have no control. Of course it is also mental and technique but this helps.
If you are thinking of religious reasons then add that to the list.
Now tell your parents and don't be shy. It will hurt at your age for about three weeks... just do it.
First do some research than talk to your parents about your decision. Most insurance companies will pay for the procedure. But please make sure you do your research first not only on the pro and cons but also on what to expect after the surgery. It is more painful to through when you are older and sometimes takes longer to heal.Good luck!!
you should keep it. I really like that my boyfriend is uncircumcized (and I've had two circumcized boyfriends). don't think it's bad to be uncircumcized
Dont do it i cant jack off comftrobly i dont have enough foreskin so the only way i can feel pleasure is if i grab my balls and my #$%# and rub it aginst my skin other than that i cant jack off properly.
DONT DO IT!
You don't want to be circumcised. Trust me. It hurts and you become VERY sensitive.
Just tell them. Be grateful they left the choice up to you.

Why do you want it done though? Make sure you do REALLY thorough research. It's actually cosmetic surgery, there is no real reason to get it done. Most men in the world are uncircumcised, rates are falling in the USA. I have no problem with an uncircumcised guy, think it's better actually.
Do as much research on the web first, to educate yourself about the pros and cons of the procedure. Then talk to your doctor about it at your next annual physical. After taking those steps, if you still want to go through with it, then bring it up with your parents, who will be more supportive since you will have done your homework first and it won't be an impulsive decision.
Adult males lose 15 square inches (40 square centimetres) of skin in circumcision, over half the skin of your penis. You lose the gliding action as it slides on itself during masturbation and sex. You will suffer bruising, perhaps some bleeding, and the swelling from the disruption to the lymph system goes on for up to six months. Removing the foreskin turns the surface of the glans from an inner mucosal membrane to outside skin. Newly circumcised adults usually go through some weeks of intense discomfort as the glans is constantly exposed to rubbing on clothing, until it develops a thicker keratin layer and becomes less sensitive. You must abstain from ALL sexual activity for an average of six weeks. Some men like the final result but others complain of loss of sensation and miss being able to slide their foreskin over the glans. Circumcised guys often have little or no movable skin left and are forced to masturbate using lube or rubbing dry, without the loose skin. There is no going back if you don’t like the result.
A new study has shown real differences in fine touch sensitivity between circumcised and intact penises and that the most sensitive parts of the intact penis are those that would be removed by circumcision.
Many women who get to interact sexually with an intact penis prefer the natural state. Don’t do this to yourself just to fit in. Be proud of your whole and natural body.
Many men resent being circumcised, some so much that they stretch to try and regain some of their lost foreskin's function. They can never recover all the complex anatomy and lost nerve endings though. I will never forgive my parents and the medical profession for doing it to me.
Why would you be embarrassed to be uncut? I'm uncut and feel proud of it. We are the ones who are natural and have everything the way to should be.
Just something to try, next time you masturbate, pull the skin all the way back so it cant move on the shaft. now try and masturbate. I tried it and hated it, no skin to move on the shaft.
