Im adhd and I take my meds at 7:30 am and I need to sleep now becuze im going to work in the morning!??
Question: but I cant I only get tiered like at 3:30 am and I know i need like 7-8 hours to sleep what to do! how can i movitive my self to sllep and I know that sleeping pills can kill me because im on concerta 54mg. so i cant take sleeping pills

i'm adhd as well and i don't usually go to bed untill around 2 am, but when i know i need sleep cause i have to wake up early i use this special pillow spray. it's a soothing scent and it helps me relax and calm down enough to go to sleep. if you'd like to try it or something they sell it at bath and beyond. you could also try listening to slow music.
I used to take motion sickness pills to sleep. Why not try that? Or some over the counter antihistamines like benedryl? Sleeping pills are not going to kill a person who uses prescription stimulants.
You should talk to your doctor about lowering your dosage, switching medication (concerta is sustained release, maybe you would do better on Ritalin which is not sustained release and will wear off faster) or getting a 'script for a sleep aid.
That's tough. You can always try warm cocoa before bedtime and sometimes (with Dr. permission) one Tylenol before bedtime, it's a muscle relaxer and the warm cocoa is soothing. Make sure your room is cool and dark and that you have a comfy pillow. Good Luck. I hope one day you won't need that medication anymore.
