Experiences with Lexapro ??
Question: what experiences have you had with this drug? any side effects? im 17...do you think is is an alright drug for my age?

I've been on Lexapro for a few years and I love it. I've had no bad side effects and it helps with anxiety issues. Plus - it starts working quicker than some of the others.
I was on lexapro for a couple months and saw no side effects! I think it's a awesome thing my moom changed within a few days! Although I'm 20 and not 17 so I don't know if it is ok for you but I would talk to your doctor he would know! Hope you feel better soon! :)
I took it for nine days because the side effects were so bad for me. My body can't handle SSRIs, which is the class of anti-depressants Lexapro falls into. Everyone reacts differently to these meds, so the only way to know how it will work for you is to take it. There is slightly more danger to you taking it because your brain is still developing at 17. Your doctor wouldn't prescribe it if he didn't think it's worth trying. If you don't react well to it, you stop taking it and try something else. No big deal, just be very aware of any changes you experience when you start it.
