OpticiansO^O Grand Opening Of new optical...??
Question: My Doctor I work for is buying a new office and we are moving in March. We are planning a Grand opening celebration and none of us have ever done this before! SO....what have you all done with Grand Openings for your new offices? We are thinking of trunk show and food and that, but what else canyou suggest? Thank you much~!!!!!!

Invite previous customer/patients and give out raffle tickets for door prizes, i.e. a pair of plano sunglasses, lens cleaner and cleaning cloths, etc. The trunk show is a good idea, but how about involving your favorite lab with the grand opening?
See if they would be willing to foot some of the bill while letting them set up a booth so they could explain about progressive and polarized lenses that they provide.
We had ours last week. Just provide a bunch of food, put some ads in the paper, maybe send out a mailer and see what happens. Invite everyone you know. The trunk show is a good idea too.
Go through your patients records and invite the people who have supported you over the years! Invite a expensive frame company to show them the best you have to offer. Be the best you can be! Advertise heavily! Let the JQ Public that you have moved. Have a local radio station do a live broadcast from your new location. Offer them free exams to the first ten customers. Promote, promote, promote!
