A question about my new distance eyeglasses.??
Question: I just bought glasses for distance. They allow me to to clearly at a distance however, I am unable see clearly when looking at something closeup. For example, when I wear them while using the computer the letters become blurry. Why is this? Is there something wrong with my prescription if so what part did they get wrong?
Thank you so much for your help! =D
Answers: They are for distance only. Take them off when you are doing close up work.
they are meant for seeing things far away so it is typical that when looking at things close up, they will be blurry. Try not using the glasses when on the computer or when reading, that should help
I have REALLY bad eyesight and when I wear my glasses i see fine, it doesn't matter if it's distance this shouldn't happen.
You're near sighted like I am. I don't need my glasses for the computer or reading or certain aspects of my job. However, depending on how long you've had your glasses it takes a while to adjust to your eyes. So when you're doing something close up either take them off or put them ontop of your head like sunglasses.
Don't use your glasses if you are looking at stuff close up.
You have not told us your age or gender, or what your present Rx is and what your previous Rx is or your corrected and uncorrrected VA at near and distance, what the distance of your computer might be, any muscle imbalance, whether they are single vision or multifocals, etc.
Puttting all of this together and analyzing it carefully a doctor can rechesk you and come to a conclusion.
Do you think that your eyes have anything to do with the blurriness, or is it the doctor's fault.
This is not uncommon, depending on your accomodation, and the solution is obvious - take them off for close work:)
