Uncomfortabe itchiness??
Question: About three weeks ago I started to have uncomfortable feeling (sharp pains) my lower abdomen (pelvis), and about a week ago my vagina started to be really itchy. What is it? I bought some vagisile, but I do not think it is helping.
Answers: first of all, vagisile doesn't cure what is causing your itchyness it only treats the symptoms of odor and itchyness...you need to find out what it is causing it. it could be a yeast infection or bacteria vaginosis. yeast infestion = white discharge, itchy feeling, usually no odor. bacteria vaginosis = grey discharge, itchy feeling and usually a fishy odor........both easily cured, go see your doctor..as for pains, could be any number of causes.. i'd a see a doctor for that especially.
have you had sex before? because it could be an sti or the start of one, go to your doctor and ask what they think
I would suggest calling a gyno and asking a nurse what it might be and what you can do to treat it at home. Otherwise, you might need to see a gyno and get a prescription to fight it. To me, it sounds like a yeast infection, but it could be bacteria vaginosis. (Another thing: bacteria vaginosis can also cause a stinky odor. To treat it, you will have to get a prescription.)
you should goto the doctor you could have an STD
Possibly a urinary tract infection that is causing your urine to irritate your vagina. UTIs can cause mild to severe sharp lower abdominal pain, which could explain your discomfort. At the drugstore you can buy a kit that tests your urine for the proteins that signal a UTI. If it's positive, you can buy some over-the-counter Uristat. If that doesn't work, your doctor can prescribe a prescription antibiotic.
If you are sexually active with a new partner (or anyone who has not been tested for chlamydia/gonorrhea), go to a clinic or your gyn to get a test for these two common STDs. They can also do the UTI test, so if you want to go ahead and get all of the tests done at once just go to the doctor.
In the mean time drink loads of water and shower using a mild, unscented soap like unscented Dove, or just rinse the vaginal area with cool water and no soap (even the mildest of soaps can irritate sensitive skin, and using soap on the vagina is more of a vanity thing than a hygiene thing). DO NOT DOUCHE! ever, ever, ever! Good luck!
You have an infection and need to go to the doctor. He will not know till he takes a swab of your vagina to look for fungus Candida albicans or a urine specimen to rule out bacteria. There is also a parasitic organism called Trichomonas and Chlamydia that could be causing your problem. Doctors cannot tell you what is wrong until you have these simple tests done that helps with the diagnosis. Getting early treatment can also ward off other diseases associated with pelvic inflammation. Don't wait. It can get very painful.
This may need some tratment with Antibiotics or so.
Its seems to b bacterial problem or a fungal problem.
Its just due to d disturbance in ur normal flora of vagina and perineum.
Pain in ur pelvis may b due to some complicatiions which may hav migrated from ur vagina to bladder or so.
Itchy conditions in Vagina is mostly due to Fungus.
After toilet don't use soaps or antiseptics to clean perineal area.
